Gentlemen, You May Smoke Keyring
On the day he ascended the throne, Edward VII uttered this now famous proclamation: ‘gentlemen, you may smoke.’ His mother, Queen Victoria, had banned the smoking of cigars in her presence and, by extension, anywhere in high society. Edward, who was partial to a double Corona, did away with the ban and brought cigar smoking into the 20th century. This weighty sterling silver keyring, with rhodium plate, carries Edward’s words on one side and the Cigar Sanctum monogram on the other. (40 x 27 mm, ring stainless steel).
